I’m an orientation leader, and I was pretty tired from moving people in. It was pretty hot, with little bursts of heavy rain. It actually made it 10 times more fun. All of the orientation leaders decided to have a dance party in the rain, and it just made us more excited to move in the other students. ― Sophomore Danielle Laureta from Annapolis, Md.

As soon as I got here, everybody was really welcoming. I felt like it was going to be my home within seconds. It was only when my parents left that I felt the lingering feelings of sadness. Those soon went away when I went to visit one of the girls who went to my high school. After that, I was totally fine. ― First-year student Cara Burgan from Hagerstown, Md.

I’m on the soccer team, so I had to move in a couple days early. I ended up helping the other freshmen settle in. Last year, when I was a freshman, I had a lot of stuff to move, but with people helping us, it made things go by a lot faster. It felt cool to help people with that this year.  ― Sophomore Aby Abraham from Baltimore, Md.
